Atheist, Tech Metal Gods
Atheist is probably my favorite Death Metal band at the moment. Started in 1988 under the name RAVAGE (Raging Atheists Vowing A Gory End), they recorded a demo named Beyond in 1988. After their first demo they changed their name to Atheist and recorded Piece of time in 1989. Unquestionable Presence was recorded in 1991 and Elements in 1993. Undoutadly all 3 albums are masterpieces, unfortunatly Atheist broke up after Elements. In 2006 they got Re-United without Shafer due to a medical condition. A new album is due to come out in 2009. My favorite song is Life on Piece of Time.

Hi! I'm from Brazil, and i think Atheist a nice band. Mixing elements so differents like death metal and progressive rock, this guys simply make a peculiar sound, very awesome.
