Morbid Angel

Morbid Angel, perhaps one of the biggest influences on the Death Metal genre ever. Created in 1984 by Trey Azagthoth and the addition of David Vincent, Richard Brunnel, and Pete Sandoval. In 1989 possibly the greatest death metal album to hit the world got released. Then Morbid Angel took off and released more incredible albums and showed the world what death metal truely is. In 1997 David Vincet's incredible bass and vocals left the band, but then rejoind again in 2004.

Atheist, Tech Metal Gods

Atheist is probably my favorite Death Metal band at the moment. Started in 1988 under the name RAVAGE (Raging Atheists Vowing A Gory End), they recorded a demo named Beyond in 1988. After their first demo they changed their name to Atheist and recorded Piece of time in 1989. Unquestionable Presence was recorded in 1991 and Elements in 1993. Undoutadly all 3 albums are masterpieces, unfortunatly Atheist broke up after Elements. In 2006 they got Re-United without Shafer due to a medical condition. A new album is due to come out in 2009. My favorite song is Life on Piece of Time.
